Our next title is a text adventure which was being written by Tony Rome in 2014. Tony had created an adventure game called The Chinese Box, and this was his next title.
In 2012, Tony posted that his new adventure was finished, and that it would be the same scenario as the first one – with a prize for the first person to solve it.
He announced that he would wait until someone solves The Chinese Box Mystery, before releasing the second game. He also mentioned that he had improved the documentation and that people would enjoy the game.
Tony later logged in again in 2014, but informed that no-one had solved his first game. He mentioned he would upload his new game if anyone was interested, but he seemed disheartened and felt that adventure games were perhaps a thing of the past. He then disappeared with no further updates since then.
Contributor Alex Dijkstra highlighted the title to us, and confirmed he had completed The Chinese Box Mystery, but it was perhaps too late. Hopefully if Tony sees this, he will feel that he can release his new game – we would love to see it.
